Communication of the strategic plan – be careful!
“Caution!” These words jumped out a sticker on the car that I was passing. We were on the Interstate, interstate travel speeds, when I saw that the sticker. Of course I wanted to know right now what I should be careful, I should avoid the danger. Unfortunately the Declaration, the valuable information that will save me could very small letters, impossible, your make way out written. So, I’ll never know the danger of the car owner was me cautioning system.
We sometimes do this as a guide. We present our employees with a grand scheme or some motivational slogan, and must then not to help you understand what you do or how you participate in success. This is one of the biggest failings of many strategic planning efforts. The LeadershipTeam creates a plan, complete with vision, mission and goals. The final plan is distributed to the LeadershipTeam that helped create it and thats as far as it goes. The rank and file, who actually make the plan succeed or fail, never understand their contribution.
Everything that a strategic plan are important, but a step that often overlooked communicates the plan. Everyone in the Organization must not only the mission, but also know why what you do for mission success is essential. Know your organization objectives, although important people will be really engaged until you understand your part to achieve those objectives.
The best method of communication for strategic planning is in two steps. First senior leaders should submit the plan to the entire organization. This should provide clear understanding of throughout the Organization of an overview which sufficiently detailed, but not so detailed that any away with a thorough understanding has walks. This is the second step.
After the senior guide presents the entire plan, child heads of State or Government then to present the plan to the areas of responsibility. This time the targets and objectives are treated much greater detail. Each Member of that particular part of the Organization must be closely familiar with the objectives which concern you. At present the leader should frank discussion to promote, in particular as regards the objectives of the leadership team for goal completion. The workers most trusted always the job which required the technical details, any suggestions for improved objectives or changes to completion dates. The leader then takes this input back to the LeadershipTeam, so that you plan to make even more effective.
Go this communication method success involved a long way to ensure that employees in the organization. I’ll never know what I was on to the highway that day be careful. Put your employees in a similar situation.
